Domotics, or the science of home automation, encompasses technologies such as home surveillance and the electronic control of windows and blinds. In Domotic Slat, the film trailer for the thriller Body Double was audio-visually remixed with an emphatic use of the Venetian Blind Wipe, an editing transition often associated with bad taste. As the female body meshes with the screen itself, the spectatorial pleasure of peeping transforms into abstract animation, embracing the 1980s sentiment of the geometrization of modern life.
